The European Film Academy has announced 42 films from 26 countries competing for the European Film Award 2007. Austrian filmmaking will be represented by Ulrich Seidl’s Import Export.

In the coming weeks, the 1, 800 members of the European Film Academy will vote fort he nominations in the different award categories. The nominations will then be announced on November 3. The 20^th European Film Awards ceremony will take place in Berlin on December 1.
