Following his studies in industry and commerce, Veit Heiduschka studied philosophy, psychology, philology and theatre before working on several exective productions and becoming manager
of various production companies. In 1980, he founded the company Wega Film where he has worked until now as managing director
and with which he has produced a large number of films for both television and the cinema and often in co-production with
other companies. He has notably produced most of the films by Michael Haneke.
Veit Heiduschka is also a director and scriptwriter and chairs a certain of organisations, including the Austrian Film Commission and the
VAM (Verwertungsgesellschaft für audiovisuelle Medien) and the Association of Austrian Film Producers.
