«...a haunting, ever-timely reminder»

A German Life by Christian Krönes, Olaf S. Müller, Roland Schrotthofer, Florian Weigensamer is theatrically released in Los Angeles at the Laemmle Town Center 5 on November 10.

This portrait of a unique witness of the 20th century – 105-year-old Brunhilde Pomsel was the  secretary of Joseph Goebbles, during the Nazi regime – is also among the 170 entries to the Oscar race for Best Documentary.

Pomsel’s unapologetic account of being “one of the cowards” is a haunting, ever-timely reminder of how easy it can be to cash the paycheck and look the other way.
