Three Austrian films vying for Max Ophüls Prize

The main competition line-ups of the 39th Max Ophüls Prizefestival at Saarbrücken include three Austrian world premiers:  
Cops by Istvan,
Sorcerer by Sebastian Brauneis and
Stefan Bohun’s documentary Are You Sleeping, Brother Jakob?

Chris shoots a mentally ill man on duty. He is celebrated as a hero, but soon after, traumatic symptoms begin to surface. In a desperate attempt not to be exposed by his tough superior Konstantin, he resorts to excessive violence, in order to hide his trauma and fulfill his dream of becoming an elite cop.

Four brothers take a trip into the past. It is a shared path of memories which starts in the Tyrolean mountains after the fifth brother’s death and ends in a hotel room in Porto. A personal film about grief and farewell, about serenity and arrival as reunion and retrieve.
