Roland Mathis dies after a fall. A nasty private eye, he was blackmailing Anton Galba and his secret lover, threatening to expose their relationship. In a panic Galba, head of the Dornbirn sewage treatment plant, makes the body disappear with the aid of a wood chipper. Police officer Nathan Weiss suspects Galba from the very beginning. He also knows a creep that he’d like to get rid of.
