There will be a full line of Austrian films at the 57th Berlin film festival (February 8 to 18): Stefan Ruzowitzky’s new film Die Fälscher has been invited to compete for the Golden Bear. With three other works in the Forum of New Cinema - It Happened Just Before (Anja Salomonowitz), Schindler’s Houses (Heinz Emigholz) and Prater (Ulrike Öttinger)—the Austrian film industry will once again prove its international standing at the first major festival
of 2007. Austria’s representative at the Shooting Stars 2007 will be Sabrina Reiter (Dead in Three Days).
