Kurt and his girlfriend, Princess, plan a relaxing vacation in Sweden. What Princess does not know is that Kurt, a well-known journalist, is fleeing the rising tide of Fascism and the immediate threat posed by the Nazis. He intends to tell her that he has no intention of returning to Germany. But his encounter with Ada, a young girl held captive in an orphanage run with an iron hand by a German woman, makes him reconsider his decision.
