Daniel Hoesl’s and Julia Niemann’s view on a small town in the Swiss Alps wins the Best Documentary Award in a small town if the Italian Alps. The Dolomitale Film Festival at Val Gardena (September 22 to 27) pointed out Davos as the outstanding documentary film of the festival.
The jury statement:
“Through very precise, observational images, the film develops its own poetic view of a small town in the Swiss Alps. At the same time, over the course of the four seasons, it shows us the complexity and absurdity of the lives of the inhabitants and visitors. Davos becomes a metaphor for our world today. Daniel Hoesl and Julia Niemann question our own role in this globalized world and do not forgo one or the other humorous look”.
