Slidin' - Alles bunt und wunderbar

Slidin' - Shrill, Bright World

Reinhard Jud
Michael Grimm
Barbara Albert
Three stories by three directors, three journeys into the world of teenagers and countercultures. The stories are interlaced with each other. Characters with a small performance in one story will play a major part in one of the other two stories so we will learn more about them, on the other hand central characters appear again in the periphery of one of the other stories. It is done in a casual way, comparable with the situation in daily life when two friends are running into each other by chance. Petra and Nicole in their shrill world of brightness. Loafing around, bumming and teasing guys. When they accompany a stranger there is yawning up a gap between them. For the rest of the night they try individually to catch up with their own ideals. Parties, sex, amphetamines, fetishism for clothings, but also frustration and the feeling of oppression. In her environment Billie experiences too many loose allegations. She denies affections and likes to break rules. Finally she does things for real which other people are just pretending to for kicks. Another story: city-kids on their way to a rave get stuck in the middle of nowhere. They get confrontated with a rural society. Unexpected incidents are heating up their spirits, violence is bursting out like a bombshell. What is left behind as a rememberance for them is the taste of a rather exciting story.
