The documentary shows scenes of everyday life in Romania today. Compared to all other Eastern European countries, Romania is economically the weakest and for most people living conditions are steadily worsening.The viewer enters the lives of individual people from all walks of life: peasants, politicians, students. Ana Ionescu, the 86-year-old grandmother of one of the filmmakers, serves as an entry point into their lives. Her story allows an insight into a century of tremendous upheaval in the history of Romania.
