I Am from Nowhere

Georg Misch
Innumerable films, documentaries and television reports have been made about the small East-Slovakian village of Mikova since 1952. It was this village, population 150, that Andy Warhol's family left in 1921 when they emigrated to the USA. I Am from Nowhere visits his relatives who still live there in order to examine the media's obsession with the village and to reflect upon television, filming and being filmed, fame and dreams of a better life.
