QUO VADIS, AÏDA? by Jasmila Žbanić at Venice and Toronto

Jasmila Žbanić’ new film sets off for two major destinations: After competing for the Golden Lion at the 77th Venice Film Festival (September 2 to 12), Quo vadis, Aïda?, coproduced by Austrian coop99 filmproduktion, will cross the Atlantic heading to its North American premiere at the Toronto IFF (September 10 to 19).

Quo vadis, Aïda? is one of the 50 feature films selected by the TIFF 2020 and will be screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section alongside five other films.

Jasmila Žbanić’ new film is based on a true story about a translator attempting to save the lives of her husband and sons during the Bosnian genocide.

Quo vadis, Aïda? is an international co-production between Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, France, Norway, and Turkey.
