Toronto HotDocs with FUTURE BABY by
Maria Arlamovsky

Women and men longing for parenthood is a highly promising market. The options offered by science advance much faster than society has time to adapt to the ethical challenges coming along with. Maria Arlamovsky’s FUTURE BABY invites us to discover what is possible now and to question ourselves how far we’d be ready to go in the future.

FUTURE BABY makes its international premiere at the Toronto HotDocs festival, scheduled at the World Showcase program.

FUTURE BABY by Maria Arlamovsky (produced by NGF Geyrhalter Filmproduktion)

A film about the future of human reproduction as it is happening right before our eyes. Maria Arlamovsky’s exploration takes her all around the world - to patients and researchers, to egg donors and surrogate mothers, to laboratories and clinics.

The hopes and wishes of future parents mesh with research on how to "upgrade" human embryos in the face of an ever accelerating rate of progress.

How far do we want to go?
