Misha's skin is covered with tattoos, while Masha's is light, fragile, almost translucent. In his work, he encounters death every day: the human body at the end of its existence. She corresponds to a current concept of ideal beauty and is in considerable demand as a model. Over a long process, Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter have engaged with the seemingly irreconcilable realities of their protagonists' lives. In WHITE SNAIL, they have created a contrast of almost haptic proportions between perfection and decay, and thus – in association with the most varied locations – preparing the ground for tentative steps towards rapprochement.

Moscow's inhospitable streets and the stray dogs there have once again inspired Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter. In DREAMING DOGS, Dingo and his homeless mistress Nadja form an inseparable team; the filmmakers accompanied them over three years of an unstable existence. Against the harsh background of financial collapse and loss of livelihoods, a narrative emerges which engages fully with the animal and its impulses, attempting repeatedly to shake off customary connotations.

Laika, the world's most famous dog astronaut, was a child of the Moscow streets. She did not survive her mission in the space capsule, but perhaps her spirit returned to our world: perhaps her descendants still roam the streets of the Russian capital to this day. Filmmakers Elsa Kremser and Levin Peter joined up with a pack of stray dogs in order to see Moscow at night through their eyes.
