Alice Schwarzer

Sabine Derflinger
Alice Schwarzer has always ben a polarising force. As a popular figure on TV, she has divided married couples watching from their sofas across the German-speaking world and encouraged women to emancipate themselves. Our cinema documentary reveals a side to Schwarzer that goes beyond the influential feminist and journalist we know from her autobiography. Starting with her project Emma, the feminist's magazine she has published independently for 40 years, the film continues to portray her struggle for women's rights, which is directly linked to her personal story.
