Das tätowierte Herz

Tattooed Heart

Ernst Josef Lauscher
Nino the Sicilian lives on petty crimes in Vienna. Konrad is an actor earning his living with dubbing, his special talent is voice imitation. Nino, released from prison, is dreaming of a better life. He and Konrad, with his talent for voices, are dreaming up a coup which involves a lot of money. It is Marina, a beautiful bird of the night, who pulls the strings in this game. She is the one who knows where the money is supposed to come from: Marschall, owner of a construction company, money launderer and investor in Marina. She doesn't so much care for him but for his money. Once interested, Konrad starts investigating the background using journalistic help from his friend Harry. But very soon Konrad is disgusted with Harry's uncompromising manner of digging into Nino's past. He helps Nino neutralize Harry, and his love for Marina and a certain shortage of cash make him join the money venture. The plan seems too simple, but according to Marina it is 100% waterproof. When things get moving, Harry confronts Konrad with a few facts and figures about Marina's love-life. A rude awakening for Konrad, indeed. Things have changed for him, but it is too late now.
