While Halfried Selig heals the sick with her hands, her daughter Marion attempts to put down new roots in her old hometown. This proves to be difficult, in particular because her divorce is causing headaches, and her daughter Laura is behaving strangely and developing into a loner. When it turns out that Marion has breast cancer, she’s at the end of her rope. Surprisingly, Laura is a source of support, and it seems that she has inherited the gift from her grandmother.
