    Successful closure for Ruth Beckermann at Cinéma du Réel: her subtle approach to the the correspondence between Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan has won the SCAM International   Award. We just met him a few days ago at the Diagonale opening night, laughing and full of wit and energy, starting to prepare the 50th anniversary of his festival. We still can't believe it, Heinz, that you're gone, we'll miss you.

    Berlinale 2016: TOMCAT wins Teddy Award

    After its world premiere at the Berlinale Panorama Special TOMCAT, Händl Klaus' second feature length movie, an absorbing drama about a solid and happy gay couple facing loss and a deep breach of confidence,  was awarded the Teddy Award . The prize launched in 1987 by the Berlinale Panorama is the only official LGBTIQ film prize at an A-festival worldwide.

    Great Max Ophüls Film Festival 2016 for young Austrian cinema:  After 2012 (Michael) and 2013 (The Shine of the Day), the Max Ophüls Prize went again to an Austrian filmmaker: Stephan Richter’s directorial debut ONE OF US was honored with this renowned newcomer award for German-speaking cinema.
